Highlighting...
Maddie Rosnick, Senior
Pennsbury Girls’ Volleyball

Coach Tim Paulson says: “Maddie is a really, really hard worker. She was a middle hitter all of her career, and we switched her up in August, putting her at outside hitter. She took it and ran with it and is doing fantastic. She’s a great leader – she leads quietly.”

First introduction to sports: “I began playing basketball in third grade and was a basketball player ever since. Volleyball was introduced to me when I moved to the Pennsbury School District in seventh grade, and since then, I have joined a club volleyball team and made volleyball my main sport.”

Favorite athlete: Misty May

Favorite team: University of North Carolina Tar Heels men’s basketball team

Favorite memory competing in sports: “I went to the state playoffs when I was a sophomore, and it was very exciting to be in the atmosphere of such great players.”

Most embarrassing/funniest thing that has happened while competing in sports: “Funny and embarrassing things happen every day on my school and club volleyball teams. It’s hard for these things not to happen when you’re with some of your closest friends.”

Future plans: “College list – Carnegie Mellon and Franklin & Marshall. I plan on majoring in biology or biomedical engineering. I also plan on playing volleyball in college. After college, I would like to go on and get my master’s and Ph.D. and enter into the field of my major for research.”
