SOL non-league crossover
Upper Dublin 2, Neshaminy 2
On a night where they celebrated their seniors, Neshaminy needed a gutsy effort to pull a draw against a Cardinals side looking to start a new win streak.
Neshaminy struck first but UD responded in the first half to keep it level, then the Cardinals flipped the script by jumping ahead in the second half. It was one of the team’s seniors, Emma Harrison, who played the hero role for
the hosts.
After scoring the opening goal, Harrison took the ball and stepped up to the spot in the second half with a chance to tie the game. Neshaminy had already had a PK stopped in the match, but Harrison buried the equalizer to end a memorable night.

2nd half

N – Emma Harrison (PK)
Neshaminy coach Josh Van Reed: “Tonight was a very tough, physical game against a hardworking Upper Dublin team. From the first whistle they came out firing and we needed to match it. We were able to create some chances and get the ball in behind the defense to earn an early corner. Lily played a great ball and found Emma Harrison who put the ball in to put us up one. But Upper Dublin kept applying pressure and were able to capitalize on a misplayed ball to tie it up. The rest of the half was a lot of back and forth with both teams battling.”
Rallying back: “To start the second half, Upper Dublin struck first from a corner. We had to make some adjustments to create more chances for us. We had some good looks from corners but couldn’t seem to get anything to go with their keeper saving some balls off the line along with stopping a PK. With the game winding down, we earned another PK, and Emma Harrison stepped up to bring us back to even.”
Hard-fought finish: “From there both teams exchanged back and forth chances until the final whistle. It was a tough game against a physical team.”
Senior props: “Tonight was also our Senior Night, and I want to give some additional recognition to our seniors and the role they have played the past four years in the success of our program and the work they put in. Anna Axenroth, Alexis Barnes, Emma Harrison, Leah Kaczmarek, Lily Kaczmarek, Aubrey McGeady and Maggie Volgraf have been such a great group of girls, leaders and teammates.”

Abington 1, Council Rock South 1
The Ghosts picked up their second straight draw in crossover play on Thursday.
CR South, fresh off a win against Central Bucks South, looked poised for another big first half while scoring an early goal, but the Ghosts’ defense came together and locked down. The hosts would find the tying goal before halftime, then it turned into a defense stalemate the rest of the way.
Scoring Summary
1st Half
CRS – Anna Horn (Lylah Day)
A – Sophia Regan (Lia D’Arcangelo)
2nd Half
No Scoring
Abington coach Rick Tompkins: “South opened the scoring with a beautiful drive down the flank followed by a low cross that was finished inside the six-yard box. Later in the half, Sophie Regan got a pass from Lia D’Arcangelo, which she buried in the lower far corner to knot the match. Both teams went after the win, but neither could solve the other’s defense. Emma Regan, Violet Garecht, Mary Wilson, Mia Sarro and Nora Luskin all played well for the Ghosts, and Val Zapata had her best match of the season, working hard at both ends of the field. Finally, Sam Waterfall stopped a South breakaway to preserve the tie.”
CR South coach Nick Heim: “We got off to a good start generating chances and scoring early on when Lylah Day found Anna Horn to put us up 1-0. I thought we settled down a bit too much on the ball after, and to Abington’s credit they climbed back into the game and got on the board before halftime. We continued to pressure and I felt had the better run of play, but it was just one of those days where you don’t get the bounce you need in the final third. Credit to Abington: they are organized and their goalie made some really outstanding saves.
Takeaways: “The game gave us some good insight on what we need to improve upon. Hopefully we get some quality practice sessions in before next week. I thought Anna Horn was fantastic for us today as well as Guilianna Conetta being dangerous for us up front.”

The Knights had a good week of crossovers, posting an aggregate of 13-0 across the two games.
Lani Bachmann distributed three assists in Wednesday’s win, two going to Annaliese Marnien. Defensively, North Penn posted a second straight shutout and is looking to continue pushing toward a postseason bid with their final stretch of games.

North Penn coach Mike Rio: “Another full team effort in the win, and I really thought all of the girls played well today. Cheltenham was dealing with a lot of injuries and illnesses, and they really put forth a solid effort, and I give them credit for playing so hard for the entire 80 minutes. I thought Mallory and Corinne really had strong games for us today.”

Bensalem 2, Hatboro-Horsham 0
The Owls broke through for their first win last week, but they were on the wrong end of a rough outcome to start crossover play on Monday.
Going up against a Hatters team that’s also been battling hard for results, both teams expected a battle. Bensalem seized the advantage off a Kylie O’Neil set piece in the first half, then O’Neil played a key role in the insurance goal in the second half with the ball into the box that set it up.
The Owls’ defense had it from there, posting their first shutout of the year.
Scoring Summary
1st half
B – Kylie O’Neil
2nd Half
B – Kayla Mitchell
Bensalem coach Kathleen Rivera: “This was a great bounce back game. After a tough loss on Monday, we knew today was important for us. We knew going into it that Hatboro was pretty even with us, so it wasn’t going to be easy. The girls worked hard today, focusing on what we talked about at practice the day before, playing quick and getting into space.”
Offensive boost: “Our first goal was exactly what we needed. We got a free kick about 25 yards out and Kylie O’Neil just perfectly placed it over the keeper’s head, giving us the 1-0 lead going into half. Hatboro came out hard in the second half, but our defense stayed strong. Our second goal was great too, coming off a cross from Kylie O’Neil, Kayla Mitchell was there to tap it in for her first goal of the season and to give us 2-0 lead.”
Standouts: “Tessa Raymond played great defense today, she’s just a freshman, I ask a lot of her but she proves that she can do it every game. Miranda Duncan, our keeper, had a great performance today as well to keep the game a shutout.”
BENSALEM 1 1 – 2

Central Bucks East 4, Lower Moreland 0
Taylor Roumy scored for a sixth straight game, senior Mattie Williams had a strong second half, and the Patriots won their 11th in a row with a strong showing against the SOL Freedom’s co-leaders.
Roumy netted the opening goal just two minutes in, the Richmond-bound senior continuing a stellar run of form in front of goal over the last two weeks. Kiera Sleicher slashed home a goal soon after for a two-goal lead at halftime.
Williams, a senior Villanova commit, has been a key piece to the Patriots’ midfield this season while still chipping in her share of goals. With Lower Moreland’s defense ramping up its energy, Williams took the challenge and put away two of her own for a second half brace to help lock up the win.

CBE – Mattie Williams (Liz Mooney) 57th
CBE – Mattie Williams (Addie Langlois) 64th
CB East coach Jake Nesteruk: “A solid team win from our group today and proud of the effort put into it throughout the match. I thought we maintained a pretty good rhythm from the start of the game, created consistently high-quality chances, but just struggled putting them away. It was great to see us start on such a positive note in this game with Taylor and Kiera getting on the scoresheet early. As the game progressed, I have to give credit to Lower Moreland for how they defended their defensive third for much of this game and their keeper made a few really good stops to prevent us from stretching out the game.
Props: “I thought we had a pretty strong performance across the group in this one, with very good games from Ella Roumy, Mattie Williams and Delaney Ralph in particular.”
Lower Moreland coach Todd Hill: “Our girls battled today against a very talented CB East team. I love that my girls don’t back down and play with such determination. We are excited about using today and learning from it as we move into the rest of the season. Our back group of freshman Ava Demarco, senior Izzy O’Brien, sophomore Cam Cowley, and senior Agnes Kroll played a good game absorbing CB East’s constant pressure.”

Souderton 6, New Hope-Solebury 0
Souderton’s offense stayed hot to continue crossover play.
Big Red was able to possess and move the ball, setting up numerous scoring chances, and with some of the team’s leaders willing to make the extra pass, it led to a few first-time scorers for the host side.

It was exciting to see some of our players get their first varsity goal because of the selfless decision making across the board.”

Plymouth Whitemarsh 0, Council Rock North 0
The Colonials have had plenty of experience with draws so far this fall, but Wednesday’s felt a little different.
While they ended in a deadlock for the fifth time this season and for the fourth time in a scoreless tie, the caliber of opponent and the level of play made it at least a worthy result. Neither side was content taking a draw out of it, of course, but for the young PW side, it was a good test against a CR North side with a lot of quality in its attack.
Conversely, the Indians had to step up their set piece defense and came through with a clean sheet for their efforts.

Plymouth Whitemarsh coach TJ DeLucia: “While we certainly weren’t playing for a draw, we are extremely proud of the result tonight. Council Rock North has a terrific team, and it was a battle under the lights in their stadium. For this ‘new’ group we have this year, this was a real taste of District I playoff level soccer and each player rose to the occasion.”
Props: “Our senior class led the way, as seniors should in a game like this. Our younger players gained terrific experience that should benefit us moving forward. I don’t want to single out any one player for praise because tonight was a total team effort.”
CR North coach Gavin Flannigan: “Disappointed we didn’t get the win tonight. I thought we had a lot of possession and created some good opportunities. Credit to PW, they were organized, had a game plan and stuck to it. They had some dangerous moments in transition and on some set pieces but I thought overall we dealt with that part very well.”
Props: “Our defensive group had another good night with a shutout, and I thought Brynn Rodgers and Emily Rubenstein really stood out for us this evening.”

Upper Moreland 1, Central Bucks West 1
Each team won a half in a spirited crossover battle on Wednesday, with the Bucks and host Golden Bears ultimately settling for a draw.
Ella Barrett gave CB West the lead at halftime, but UM was able to rally back with a hard-earned goal that saw Madeline Cox punch home the equalizer after Leah King put the ball in a dangerous spot off a header. Both goalkeepers were active throughout the game, each coming up with a handful of key saves for their respective teams.
Scoring Summary

CBW – Ella Barrett 37th

UM – Madeline Cox (Leah King) 57th
Goalkeeper Saves:
UM – Gracie Costello 6
CBW – Annabel Witt 4
Upper Moreland coach Lisa Benvenuto: “Today’s game was a hard-fought, gritty battle between two determined teams. Both squads came ready to play with high intensity, which was evident in the physical play and the scoring opportunities created at both ends.”
Bears’ defense delivers: “Goalkeeper Gracie Costello and our defensive line — Julie Albert, Aubrey Scarpitti, Jayda Rivera, Maddy Frantz, and Tessa Benner — played an outstanding game. Their strong communication, disciplined marking, and physical play consistently disrupted CB West’s offensive flow.”
Rallying back: “Up front, we created several quality opportunities by emphasizing following our shots and running through the ball. That focus paid off when Leah King directed a header toward the net, and Madeline Cox followed through to score the equalizer.”
Props: “Overall, it was a fantastic team effort highlighted by standout performances from Jayda Rivera, Madeline Cox, Leah King, and Gracie Costello.”

Pennridge 2, William Tennent 1
The Rams used a small scoring burst in the first half to get all the offense they’d need to pick up their second win of the week.
Junior Mikayla Loux converted a pass from senior G Howley 13 minutes into the first half, with Maya Howard following up a bit less than seven minutes later.
Scoring Summary

WT – Kaitlyn D’Ambra from Leila Santos 29:14
P – Mikayla Loux (G Howley) 27:08
P – Maya Howard 20:49

Pennridge coach Lucas Kriner: “Credit to Maya for pouncing on a loose ball in the box. We talked a lot about our aggression and reaction to balls in the 18. To see a goal from that was great. G’s pass to Mikayla was a good interchange from quick forward play that looked a lot like what we’ve been working on in training, so we’ll take that as a positive. Good finish from Mikayla. We forced the William Tennent goalkeeper into some good saves, which meets our marker that we want to generate chances on frame.”
William Tennent coach Elise Jara: “We grabbed the early lead off a goal by sophomore Kaitlyn (D’Ambra) with an assist from senior Leila Santos, and we were moving the ball well. The last few games have been close, and we are doing a lot of good things on the field. We’re just struggling to find that all important second goal. Megan Pacchioli made several key saves to keep us in the game, and Lily Walker, a freshman, stepped into a defensive mid position and did an outstanding job.
“We are proud of the work the girls have been doing against some very good opponents, and we are hoping to build off of that going into next week.”

Wissahickon 4, Harry S Truman 0
The Trojans were precise in the first half, building an early lead then maintaining their advantage as they claimed their second win of the week.
With a looming matchup against undefeated Methacton on Friday, Wissahickon did not overlook a Tigers group that’s continued to make positive strides. While they’ve been shorthanded, Truman continues to get great efforts from every player that is asked to take the field regardless of experience or class standing, and opponents know they’re going to play out all 80 minutes.

Harry S Truman coach Brian Gilbert:
Coach’s take: “Our pre-game talk was about coming out strong. Wissahickon handled Cheltenham in their previous match, and their next matchup is against an undefeated Methacton team. Our hope was that maybe they were overlooking us, but Wissahickon is a well-coached and well-prepared team. They came out strong, scoring three times in the first 10 minutes. We were able to hold them scoreless for the next 52 minutes, but they were able to go up 4-0 for a comfortable lead.”
Hat-tip to Trojans: “My favorite stat is the assist. Wissahickon probably could have scored double digit goals, but rather than padding the stats, they displayed discipline and got creative. Shooters passed up on an easy shot and instead tried to make a crossing pass or a drop pass. They didn’t take the foot off, they were just gunning with a different agenda. Our keeper was still called upon to make 19 saves. Our defense still had to put their bodies on the line to prevent goals.”
Coach’s take for Truman: “What I love about this team is that despite the score and regardless of the time left on the clock, our girls never give up the fight. Making the most of every minute played, sophomore Efsa Celik came in late in the game and challenged every ball like it was a tie game. Freshman Amirah Fisher pressured a defender, forced a turnover, dribbled to goal and the defender was forced to take a foul. Junior Gwen Marston took the direct kick and sent a bending shot that missed the upper 90 corner by inches. These girls keep working, and with a small roster, it wasn’t easy with some key players missing. Freshman Lily Hadfield and Senior Skyla Leiva were moved to outside midfield for the first time this season and both proved to be viable options. Junior Hadley Rizzo showed she can play outside mid on both the left and the right side and helped keep a balanced rotation at the position. There were a few plays where Rizzo came off a defensive stance and made a good run to open space, however an errant pass was the difference from a scoring opportunity.”
Takeaways: “The execution of the plays aren’t fully developed yet, but the players are learning the game better, making the runs to open space and attempting the right passes. Again, progression over perfection, we’re moving in the right direction.”

The Panthers held on to pick up a crossover win on the road against Pennsbury.
Quakertown led 3-1 at half and built their lead to what seemed like a comfortable three-goal advantage early in the second. The Falcons had other ideas, scoring twice to cut the lead to one and prompting the Panthers’ defensive unit to rally and make sure they held that advantage to the final whistle.

Quakertown coach Jon Gingrich: ‘In the 26th minute, junior Maya James took a beautiful pass from junior Emily Marzinkie and scored our first goal. Maya James scored again on a perfectly placed looping shot in the 27th minute, then the third goal saw junior Shylee Williams take a pass from junior Brielle Bailey and fire past the Pennsbury keeper in the 32nd minute. In the second half, Shylee Williams took a pass from junior Molly Kreischer, raced past the defense and slotted her second goal of the game in the 46th minute.”
Standouts: “Outside wings Junior Maya James and Junior Shylee Williams. Both girls brought a lot of attack for us tonight. Each player scored two goals apiece, and both girls just got it done for us today. Junior Striker Molly Kreischer has really stepped up her game for us. She has controlled the top of our attack, holding possession and delivering great assists to our outside wings. Finally, my defensive back line of sophomores Brook Bailey, Lacey Garner, Alexa Reich, and junior Brielle Bailey and holding midfielders junior Anna Gingrich and senior Zoey Erdman. We knew Pennsbury was going to be a tough team and these six girls were just playing and working hard for our team all game.”

Central Bucks South 3, Springfield Twp. 0
The Titans bounced back from a disappointing effort in Monday’s loss to pick up a win over a quality Spartans side.
South didn’t let a frustrating first half in front of goal affect its second half efforts as a collective group stepped to the forefront to put away some chances. Khloe Montini led the way with a brace, but there were plenty of Titans in the mix, with Emily Franklin scoring a goal and adding an assist, Lucy Keane grabbing an assist and a key touch that helped set up another and Tenley Rogers helping spark it all.
The defense was up to task as well, keeping a skilled Springfield Twp attack from finding the net with a bounce-back shutout.

CBS – Khloe Montini (Emily Franklin)
CB South coach Dana Cole: “Halftime was 0-0, which is frustrating because we were creating opportunities but not finishing. In the second half, the girls turned it up and became more aggressive on offense and determined to score. Tenley Rogers perfectly placed corners and crosses in front of the net all game, and Emily Franklin finally finished one with a beautiful header on a corner kick early in the second half to get us going.”
Montini goes for two: “The second goal was a great through ball from Lucy Keane to Khloe Montini, who turned it up again tonight with two goals. We sealed the deal on the third goal with a ball put into the box by Peyton Karpinski on a free kick. Lucy Keane hit it away from the keeper and Emily Franklin tipped it to Khloe, who headed it to the back of the net for her second goal of the night.”
Shutout standouts: “Our defense played amazing for a shutout. Our back line that prevented any goals was Peyton Karpinski, Ella Parish and Tenley Rogers. Olivia Creswick and Addi Konopka stepped up big tonight and held down the outside defensive zones when Tenley moved up to midfield to help generate more offense. Sienna Carone started the game to hold the shutout, and Morgan Sowash backed her up holding the net to a zero goal game.”
