COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 8, HARRY S TRUMAN 0
(Submitted by CR North field hockey)
Council Rock North Field Hockey came out strong against Truman, putting together an impressive offensive performance with contributions from several players.
The Indians wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, scoring five goals in the first quarter. Kenzie Pyle led the offensive attack with two goals, while Allison Ayers, Gia Longo, and Gianna Frederico each added a goal.
North continued its momentum into the second quarter, with Claire Sadovy, Nicole Papp, and Zuzanna Falkowski each finding the back of the cage to bring the team’s total to eight goals.
A special recognition goes out to this year’s senior class, who have been incredible leaders and role models throughout the season. Their dedication, hard work, and positive attitudes have helped set the tone for the program. They have consistently led by example, supported their teammates, and helped the younger players grow both on and off the field.
We want to thank our seniors Gia Longo, Nicole Papp, Kasey Papp, Ella Gearhart, Brie D’Angelo, Zuzanna Falkowski, Sophia Pinto, Kenzie Pyle, Ellie Carney, and Ella Ring for everything they have contributed to Council Rock North Field Hockey. Their leadership and commitment to the program have made a lasting impact, and we are so proud of the example they have set for the next generation of North field hockey players.

Upper Dublin coach Erica Kelly:
“Today was a highly competitive, and closely matched game. Going into the match, we felt confident and composed and played a really consistent game. We had a lot of offensive opportunities and a lot of strong defensive plays. This was a really fun game to watch and be a part of; though we did not come out with a win, we got some good experience with our first overtime game and are overall very happy.”
–Props: “Harriton’s goalkeeper played a good game with a lot of support from her defenders in clearing the ball out of the circle to minimize our second and third opportunities. Big props to their team for coming out strong and aggressive in the second half.
“I would like to give props to Jackie Beck, Ellie Kuznits, and Caroline Powell for their performance today. They played with composure and initiated transfers across the field that ultimately earned us a lot of opportunities. We are looking forward to using this experience to prepare us for our playoff game on Tuesday.”
Up next: Upper Dublin, seeded 14th, will travel to #3 Gwynedd Mercy for an opening round game of the District 1 2A Tournament on Tuesday (3:45pm).
