SUBURBAN ONE LEAGUE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY JOB DESCRIPTION

THE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY SHALL BE DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
OF THE SOL.

I. Duties and Responsibilities
A. Conducts all league correspondence through the direction of the Executive 
Committee.
B. Maintains a full and accurate accounting of the procedures and transactions of all 
meetings of the SOL.
C. Serves as coordinator of all property and records belonging to the SOL.
D. Recommends SOL meeting sites, times and dates on an annual basis.
E. Coordinates the purchase and the distribution of the total league awards program.
F. Serves as a liaison between sports committees and the SOL.
G. Prepares and distributes all league passes to SOL member schools.

The position of Executive Secretary shall include but not be limited to all of the above duties and responsibilities as a service to all member schools of the SOL.

II. Qualifications
A. Must have extensive experience as an athletic administrator.
B. Preferably have experience as a principal, athletic director, teacher, coach and/or 
official.

III. Job Conditions
A. The Executive Secretary is directly responsible to the President.
B. The Executive Secretary will be evaluated on an annual basis.
C. The Executive Secretary shall make himself/herself available to accommodate the 
needs of the SOL.
D. The term of office of the Executive Secretary will be renewable every two years.

E. The Executive Secretary shall be a non-voting member.
F. The office of the Executive Secretary shall not incur expenses or debts without the 
approval of the SOL.

IV. Fee
A. The fee for the Executive Secretary shall be determined by the Executive 
Committee and paid in increments established by the Executive Committee.
B. The incumbent President's school shall assume some of the costs incurred by the 
position of Executive Secretary.
C. The fee for the position of the Executive Secretary shall be reviewed on an annual 
basis.
