Justin McCormick – Franciscan University (Basketball)

Major:  Communications

Final list of colleges:  Franciscan, Grove City, Immaculata, Saint Vincent

Reasons for choosing Franciscan:  “Coach (Joe) Wallace was really involved during the recruiting process, and when I visited, he made me feel welcome. I loved the campus, and overall, it just felt like a great fit.”

Coach Dean Behrens says:  “Justin McCormick was a four-year player for us. Unfortunately, he’s had to overcome some injuries over the last three years, but he really hung in with the program, and he worked very hard to get himself healthy. I thought he had an outstanding senior year for us. He’s very mature, hardworking, always at practice. He was a great leader for us – he was one of our captains. I feel very fortunate to have coached him, and my staff does as well. We’re real excited for his next progression to college. I think his best basketball is ahead of him. He’s also a great academic student. He was actually our scholar-athlete this year for the basketball program. He’s a wonderful kid, a wonderful teammate. I can’t say enough good things about him.”
