Getting closer…3-1 loss to Springfield. They scored 3 goals in the first half but we held them scoreless in the 2nd half. The girls played really well together. They were aggressive on offense making good passes and pushing the ball. What hurt us was not capitalizing on our comers. Defense kept us close with strong play by our defensive players junior Catie Bombas and senior Charolette Elwell. Senior forward Maddie Gregory scored our only goal and there was strong support up front from seniors mid fielders Emily Nelson and Angelina Park. These girls keep getting stronger and it will eventually pay off.
