I thought we started the game very well and were in control for the first 20 minutes. Our pressure & effort resulted in two long range goals from Alyssa Lanigan and Kaleigh O'Donnell. Abington made some adjustments and tied it up by half time. We struggled to contain Casey Toeuy during the first half and we talked over some changes at half time on how to deal with her and their other threats they have. In the second half the girls adapted very well to the challenge and the situation, we managed to take the lead through a great finish from Paige Addis on a Sammy Judge free kick and from then I thought we did a good job in controlling the game and finishing it out. There were some really good moments of play today but more importantly for our team we showed some resilience, mental toughness and a desire to to win after a setback. Grace Needham made some key saves and Anna Cairone, Hannah Thomson and Brooke Fischer did a great job in the second half controlling the space and threat. It was as real team effort at times today and every girl played a part towards that.
