Things did not look promising for the Bucks when they dropped the first two sets of Monday’s match, but they went on to win the next three and earned a reverse sweep.
Kya Lynch continues to rewrite the program record books at West, this time breaking the record she had set one week earlier when she had 36 kills.
On Monday night, Lynch was once again unstoppable at the net, scoring a program record 40 kills to go along with six aces, two blocks and 11 digs.
Setter Emma Shank handed out 42 assist while Charley Brexler (13 digs) and Ashlyn Kear (12 digs) led the Bucks’ defense.

The Lady Rams fell to Spring-Ford in three sets in Monday’s non-league match.
Zoe Roth led the Rams with 5 kills, 11 assists, 7 digs and 2 blocks. Maggie Dekutoski added 4 kills and 9 digs, while Alexys OBrien contributed 4 kills and 3 digs. Emma Hill led the defense with 15 digs and added an ace. Jade Wandall recorded 6 assists, while Tessa Farrell, Ali Lightcap and Sawyer Blomgren each contributed a block.

Sparked by the double-digit kill efforts of Katelyn Ross (19 kills), Allison West (13 kills) and Julia Sherstnyova (10 kills), the Titans earned a hard-fought win over the Ghosts.
Libero Olivia Hessenthaler led the defense with 20 digs.

Abington Girls Varsity Volleyball Falls to Central Bucks South in 4-Set Match Heininger Reaches 600-Kill Career Milestone

The Abington Senior High School girls’ varsity volleyball team dropped a tough four-set Suburban One League match to Central Bucks South, with Central Bucks South securing the 3-1 victory over Abington.
Leading the charge for Abington was senior outside hitter Maddie Peltzer (#9), who delivered an all-around performance with 12 kills, 6 digs, 2 blocks, and 2 receptions. Junior libero Jazzmine Acevedo(#23) anchored the defense, racking up 19 digs, 9 receptions, and an ace.
Senior outside hitter Sophie Heininger (#14) put up an impressive stat line with 12 kills, 6 digs, and 7 receptions. The night marked a major career milestone for Heininger, who officially crossed the 600-career kills mark and etched her name into the program’s record books.
“We are incredibly proud of Sophie for reaching 600 career kills,” Abington coach Marlene Jackson. “It’s a tremendous achievement that reflects her hard work and dedication to this program.”
Abington returns to the practice court on Monday to prepare for their next match on Tuesday.
